A cucumber is a kind of vegetable that can barely be kept fresh even in the fridge. I’ve been marinating cucumbers dry for several years and this way I get tasty cucumbers simply and quickly. Due to dry marinating the cucumbers become more delicious and they remain fresh marinated up to a week, and if marinated classically they salt down after 2 or 3 days.

    The ingredient set is rather simple. You can try different spices. Wash the dill well. It would be better to use the dill bloom for marinating, but the greenery is also OK.

    Wash the cucumbers and cut the tips away. If the cucumbers are too long, cut them across. Cut them lengthwise too and minimum in two parts.

Even if you dislike marinated cucumbers, my method will help you lengthen the life of this vegetable. The marinated cucumbers remain fresh longer and you can make a nice salad of them. At the same time such cucumber preserves maximum of useful substances.
