And such a diverting occupation as “scissoring a snowflake” will definitely amuse your guests. If you host a family with small kids, it is the best way to entertain them. There are numerous variants of creating paper snowflakes. The simplest one is to make them from paper or napkins. You can use the quilling technic, as well as origami or appliques. I’ll show only a few of them here.

  • White or mottled paper
  • Scissors

    Scissor out 5 equal stripes, the length doesn’t matter, the width 0.2-0.4 inches (0.5-1 cm). Gum the two edges of the stripe, as a result you will get such an eyelet. Scissor out 5 more small equal stripes (they may be of different colors) and gum them in a circle.

    Now, according to the pattern (see picture) put the parts of the snowflake together, join them with some glue.

    Scissor out 2 equal squares. Remember how you used to make fantails in your childhood, and now pleat the squares exactly the same way.

    You can also scissor out various geometric figures (triangles, rectangulars and semicircles) on each side.

    Pleat your fan in two once again, having gummed the edges from one side. Do the second part the same way.
