How to make farmer cheese pudding with carrots

Your folks refuse to eat pure farmer cheese? If so, offer them a farmer cheese pudding. As for me, I am not a farmer cheese fan neither, but if baked, the cheese transforms into a delightful dessert that can be taken either as a main course, or as a baking to have your tea with. Today I’d like to tell about the pudding with carrots. Traditionally, people bake farmer cheese with raisins and apples. I dislike raisins in baked food, and as for apples, using them is boring and trivial. Recently I’ve taken up making farmer cheese pudding with carrots. It is not only original, but also delicious.

You´ll need

  • Farmer cheese – 2 lb
  • Eggs – 3 pieces
  • Sugar – 6 tbsp
  • Salt – ¼ tbsp
  • Semola – 4 tbsp
  • A packaging of vanillin
  • Carrots of medium size – 2 pieces
  • Sour cream – 3 tbsp
  • Margarine or butter to smear the baking dish

Any kind of farmer cheese is suitable for a pudding. If the cheese is too dry, increase the number of eggs, if it is a bit sour, add more sugar.

Instead of flour, the semola will act as a binding agent. The flour makes the product too pastiness, and semola will spread over it, it will bind the ingredients and at the same time you won’t feel its presence. I put 4 heaped spoonful. To get the flavor, add a packaging of vanillin or vanilla sugar. Don’t put too much, unless you want your pudding to taste bitter.

Warnings

  • You can serve the pudding with sour cream, jam or condensed milk. Even those who dislike carrot in baked goods will appreciate such a dessert. Personally I am a person like this. The baked carrot tastes specially in a farmer cheese product and its presence doesn’t disturb, but it emphasizes the taste of the cultured milk product. Please your relatives with such a nice rosy sunny and they will be grateful to you. Bon appetite!
