How to make biphasic make-up removing tonic
All people know that it’s very important to use only high-quality decorative cosmetics for doing make-up. But not less important are means for removing make-up that help to clean the skin completely from contaminations, rests of cosmetics and skin secretions. Thin and tender eyelid’s skin needs the most delicate cleansing means, which you may prepare yourself. Two-phase make-up removing tonic is very easy to make, and its effectiveness and durability of using turns to be far better than industrial copies.
- Sweet almond oil – 1.41 oz (40 g)
- Polysorbate-80 – 0.35 oz (10 g)
- Cornflower hydrosol – 0.88 oz (25 g)
- Rose hydrosol – 0.88 oz (25 g)
- Phenonip preservative – 0.02 oz (0.5 g)
We weigh sweet almond oil and add Polysorbate-80 to it. Sweet almond oil is used for preparation of even baby cosmetics, so you may bravely use it for making of make-up removing tonic.
Add hydrosols to the oil, mixed with Polysorbate. Cornflower hydrosol is widely considered to be one of the best for tender skin care in the area around eyes. Rose hydrosol, besides of having the strongest moisturizing and rejuvenating skin properties also possesses a rich fragrance. The fragrance helps to hide not very pleasant smell of Polysorbate.
As this cosmetic product is to be in contact with eyes and perhaps can fall in eye mucosa, the use of approved preservative, reliably protecting from appearance of mould and bacteria is just necessary. We add 10 drops of Phenonip and mix everything well.
We get a homogeneous oily liquid. Not waiting for its exfoliation, we pour the tonic into a clean bottle with the dozer, previously disinfected with alcohol.
Make-up removing tonic tenderly removes even waterproof cosmetics, doesn’t form an oily film and doesn’t irritate eyes.
If the bottle is left for some time, the liquid in it exfoliates on two phases. Before using it’s enough simply to shake the bottle and when the tonic turns into a homogeneous liquid, you should smear it on a cotton pad and you may remove make-up.
- After using of make-up removal agent you must wash your face with a warm water to wash off the rests of tonic from skin.
