How to make homemade lemonade
Once I found a similar recipe of homemade lemonade in internet and adapted it for needs of my family. Regularly I make homemade refresh lemonade from natural products in summer. Tea, included to it, quenches thirst perfect. Lemon satisfies organism with vitamin С, cinnamon neutralizes action of sugar and adds wonderful aroma. So, we make 50 oz (1.5 litres) of homemade tea-lemonade.
- Lemon – 1 piece
- Sugar – 3,5 – 5,3 oz (100 – 150 g)
- Tea – 1 tsp
- Cinnamon stick or 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon
- Napkin or piece of gauze
- Container 50 oz (1.5 litres)
- Small saucepan
You can use any kind of tea: black, green, fruit, with any flavours. It depends on your taste. If you are sure that water is of high quality, you don’t need to boil it. But I usually use boiled water.
Make tea as usual.
Grate lemon zest finely, try not to use white layer, because during boiling it can add bitterness to the drink. Here is the quantity of zest, which I have got.
We add lemon zest to the small saucepan, add cinnamon stick, sugar and boil for 5 minutes. If you use ground cinnamon, add it in the end of boiling.
Pour brewing tea into 50 oz (1.5 l) container, add there lemon zest’s brew, filtered through napkin or doubled layer of gauze.
Then cut our lemon into halves. Squeeze juice out one half of lemon into container with future lemonade, cut second half into segments and also add there.
Fill the container up with hot water and let ready drink draw well. When the drink cooled down, put it into the fridge.
But more I like to cool it with ice cubes. Foremost, it looks more beautiful, and on the second hand, it is widely thought, that melt water is very useful. That’s all, have a nice meal!
- Of course you can add ingredients to the drink or change them by your own taste. Fresh mint, coriander, orange and everything you like are appropriate for this drink.
