I have only one 256 GB Vertex disc installed on my computer, it suits me, but there isn’t enough place, and I’m not ready to return to the HDD because I had a very troubled experience with it, and having tried the SSD once you won’t be eager to have anything different.

As I couldn’t afford one more 256 or 512 GB Vertex disc I bought this one for 120$ or so, it has only 120 GB, but on the other hand I needed exactly this memory volume. Besides, it is the Sumsung budget line called EVO, there is another rapid line called PRO which is considerably more expensive. Now then, this budget EVO turned out to be more rapid than my extremely pricy Vertex 4 that is supposed to be very rapid. This fact pleased and made me sad at the same time.

There are no fastenings or adaptors in the set, there is only a disc with the drivers and instructions, it’s rather sparing, though nothing more is actually needed. However, I had to buy the 3.5 adaptor separately to fasten it inside the body frame. The disc was made in China that is not surprising at all. I was a bit astonished by the quality of the body frame as it dangles or something like that. There was an impression that it wasn’t fastened tightly enough, the panels rock slightly. There is no doubt that everything was assembled thoroughly, but when carrying the article in your hands you have an impression of a low quality Chines rattle, e.g. by Vortex you won’t face such a problem. But no way, it’s Sumsung and everyone buys it anyway.

In general, I have no complains about the disc, it has been working very rapidly for a few months already, it’s a smart disc if it comes to the correlation between price and quality. I strongly recommend it, still less for such money.
