How to make a tender foam-gel for facial wash
Many people think that the main index of perfect cleansing properties of cosmetic mean is its intensive foaming. If there is a lot of foam – this is a good shampoo, shower gel, foam for facial wash etc. Actually, you don’t really need much foam for good cleansing of the skin or hair. Ayurvedic shampoo, solid shower gel or tender foam-gel for facial wash may serve as examples of this recipe.
- Jasmine hydrosol – 2.9 oz (85 g)
- Surfactants cocoa – 0.3 oz (10 g)
- Glycyrrhiza extract – 0.1 oz (3 g)
- Mannane konjac – 0.02 oz (0.5 g)
- Allantoin – 0.02 oz (0.5 g)
- Optiphen Plus preservative – 0.03 oz (1 g)
We dissolve allantoin in jasmine hydrosol warmed up to the room temperature. Jasmine hydrosol has such a strong fragrance that you have no need to add any essential oils or perfumes to a final product. Besides, cleansing and toning properties of this hydrosol are ideal for making foam cleanser. Allantoin possesses softening, anti-inflammatory properties, it gently peels off the surface layer of epidermis allowing the skin to get rid of damaged and old cells and more effectively absorb nutrients and moisture.
After allantoin is fully dissolved, we add surfactants cocoa, which though doesn’t have abundant foaming, cleans the skin softly and thoroughly.
After dissolution of the surfactants cocoa in hydrosol, while mixing up there appears foam. We add Glycyrrhiza extract, cleansing and toning the skin, improving complexion.
Add the preservative necessary so that our foam could be calmly kept in bath room for several months.
At last we add Mannane konjac, we mix it up thoroughly till we get homogeneous gel without lumps. We pour it into clean, pre-disinfected bottles.
The foam got is very light, slightly of gel consistency. Looking like cosmetic milk, when there is water it starts foaming a little, softly and carefully cleaning the skin, not over drying it and not causing feeling of tight skin after use.
- Tender foam-gel may be used for daily washing, applied to moisture face skin or for bathing of kids.
