How to cook countrylike potatoes
It is one of the most popular and loved fast-food dishes of both adults and children. At home you can cook the same delicious, but much more useful potatoes without any deep-fry or flavor enhancers.
- Potatoes (the new ones are more desirable)
- Spices (curry, oregano, pepper)
As the potatoes should be baked with the skins (to get an appetizing crust), you will have to wash them thoroughly. Cut the potatoes into 4 pieces.
Mix the salt and spices, add the sunflower oil and mix it all up.
Dip each piece of potato into this mixture.
Spread the spiced pieces of potato on a pan greased with oil. Bake them in the preheated (180 C or 350 F) oven for 20 minutes.
After that increase the temperature to 220 C or 430 F and keep the potatoes in the oven for another 20 minutes. That is all, the countrylike potatoes are ready, you can serve them.
You will get as delicious potatoes as you can find in the restaurants, but it will be free from the useless additives and colourants.
- You should cut the potatoes into pieces of average thickness, as the too thin ones can dry in the oven and the too thick ones won’t be baked as much as it is necessary.
