How to make Indian beauty mask
Those people familiar with Ayurvedic medicine know that turmeric – is not only well-known spice, but also powerful healing remedy. It has positive effect on digestive processes, intestinal microflora, possesses anti-inflammatory, detoxicating, antioxidant properties. But besides turmeric has positive effect on state of skin both by internal and external use. So turmeric – is ingredient of Ayurvedic cosmetics tested within centuries and very popular nowadays.
- Powdered milk – 3 tbsp
- Cornmeal – 2 tbsp
- Water – 1 tbsp
- Honey – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
We mix up powdered milk, cornmeal and turmeric. Powdered milk nourishes and moisturizes skin, improves complexion. Cornmeal cleanses the skin from excess skin fat, eliminates blackheads. Turmeric, due to high amount of antioxidants, slows down aging of cells, decreases wrinkles. Besides, it possesses light peeling properties, evens complexion and improves skin texture.
Mix everything; we should get a homogeneous pale-yellow powder.
We add honey, known for its moisturizing and skin rejuvenating properties.
Add water to dried mixture, mix everything thoroughly.
We get bright-yellow aromatic paste-like mass, which you should apply to preliminary cleaned up face skin and let it dry.
In 15-20 minutes after smearing we wash the mask off with cool water, carefully massaging face with circular movements. The skin after course of such masks becomes very tender, smooth, noticeably refreshed, complexion evens out and little wrinkles disappear.
- Powdered milk and water can be replaced by common milk or kefir.
- The owners of dry or sensitive skin may use oatmeal instead of cornmeal.
- You shouldn’t add too much corn meal into the mask, as the skin may color into yellow.
