How to make feet deotalc with potassium alums
The deotalc with potassium alums simultaneously performs two functions – it neutralizes odor and gives you the feeling of freshness. You can not only avoid the emergence of odor from your body and feet, but also prevent excess sweating.
- Corn starch – 1.51 oz (45 g)
- Talc – 1.41 oz (40 g)
- Potassium alums – 0.35 oz (10 g)
- Zink oxide – 0.14 oz (4 gr)
- Lemon essential oil – 10 drops
- Eucalyptus essential oil – 10 drops
Crumble up the potassium alums in a mortar. Exactly this component gives the talc its pronounced bactericidal characteristics and helps it protect us from bacteria that decompose sweat and cause odor.
You must get extremely fine powder.
Add the corn starch to the crumbled alums, it adsorbs moisture from skin.
Add the talc – it’s a soft inert filling that is also excellent in absorbing moisture and it removes odor.
Add the zink oxide, it has antimicrobial and skin predrying characteristics. Using the zink oxide together with potassium alums is a very happy blend that lets considerably improve the efficiency of protection from odors. Mix it all up thoroughly to get homogenous powder.
Pour the essential oils having bactericidal characteristics (lemon + rosemary, lemon + eucalyptus, tea tree + mint, etc) into a jar.
Spread the essential oils over the sides of the jar you are going to keep the deotalc in.
Put the deotalc into a jar with a firm cover to prevent the penetration of moisture.
The deotalc can be used by spreading it over the clean and dry skin with a puff, you can remove the surpluses with a towel. To prevent the emergence of odor from feet the deotalc should be spread over clean dry feet, after that you should put on the socks. You can pour a teaspoon of deotalc into your shoes in the evening or a few hours before you go outdoors – it will help your shoes avoid the emergence of odor.
- To be safely and durably protected from odor you have to use the deotalc regularly.
