How to make a salt scrub for normal and greasy face skin
Scrub is a mixture of several components, intended to remove of the upper, dead layer of the epidermis. Usually any kind of abrasive material (salt, sugar, ground coffee, polymer beads etc) and creamy or oily foundation is utilized. It serves not only for even distribution of abrasive particles in a scrub, but it carries out nourishing, moisturizing function. Salt scrub suits more for normal and greasy skin care, but dry and sensitive skin such scrub can damage.
- Emulsifier Sucragel AOF – 0.18 oz (5 g)
- Pistachios oil – 0.88 oz (25 g)
- Sea salt – 1.06 oz (30 g)
- Mother-of-pearl mica
- Essential patchouli oil – 5 drops
The sea salt has quite large crystals which may damage skin. That’s why before preparing a scrub it has to be grinded in a coffee-grinder.
The sea salt has more rich chemical structure than a simple table salt, so it is desirable to use exactly it.
We weigh the Sucragel emulsifier. It possesses moisturizing properties, softens the skin, and allows avoiding an oil palea on the skin and on the bath’s surface.
We add pistachios oil to the emulsifier. Being able to deeply run through the skin, it makes it smooth, improves the color of the face.
With the help of mini-mixer we thoroughly mix the oil with the emulsifier.
You should get a beautiful homogeneous viscous gel.
We add essential patchouli oil – one of the best oils for normal and greasy skin care. It normalizes the sebum’s production, prevents from blackheads, improves the color of the face and struggles against appearance of premature wrinkles.
We add grinded salt and mix everything well.
It is possible to add a little bit of mother-of-pearl mica.
The ready scrub we put into a hermetically closing container. The salt scrub is smeared on a wet skin, missing round the eyes area. Avoid too strong movements while distributing scrub on the face along the massaging lines, then wash off with warm water. After putting on the scrub you may smear a nourishing or moisturizing cream. The skin after using the scrub gets healthier look, face pores narrow, and blackheads disappear.
- The owners of dry and sensitive skin may use salt scrub once in 2-3 weeks.
- Having normal and greasy skin you can use the scrub 1-2 times per week.
- It is forbidden to use the salt scrub if there are any little wounds, cracks, acne rashes or skin irritations.
