How to make light moisturizing gel with water-melon juice
During summer time moisturizing gels, capable of replacing daily face skin care cream become especially actual. Mannane konjac – is one of the most popular gelling agents, possessing unique cosmetic properties. Very simply made moisturizing gel, which contains water-melon juice and Mannane konjac will allow to preserve moisture in the skin for long and will noticeably improve its condition and look.
- Water-melon juice – 3.46 oz (98 g)
- Mannane konjac (Amorphophallus konjac) – 0.018 oz (0.5 g)
- Phenonip preservative – 0.018 oz (0.5 g)
Water-melon pulp contains vitamins, minerals, sugar – everything that is so needed for beauty of our skin. Water-melon juice greatly moisturizes the skin, increases its flexibility and elasticity, improves complexion. We grind pieces of water-melon with blender or simply mash with a fork – in any case we get enough of water-melon juice.
We strain juice of water-melon through a shallow sieve.
If the juice is left for several hours, it will exfoliate – at the bottom there is going to be a pink sediment, and above – a transparent colorless liquid. You can carefully pour off the upper faction of the juice and make a transparent moisturizing gel on its basis. But I like gel from fresh juice more – it looks more attractive and has brighter water-melon smell. Its only drawback – is that before using you should shake up the gel bottle.
To water-melon juice we add Mannane konjac – plant polysaccharide, possessing exceptional moisturizing and film-forming properties. It forms the thinnest film on the skin surface, that preserves moisture and stimulates the production of own collagen in skin. Cosmetologists claim that Mannane konjac affects the skin similar to hyaluronic acid – it tightens and tones up the skin, perfectly moisturizes it, improves intercellular exchange.
Mannane konjac in powder is quickly and almost completely dissolved in water-melon juice. As the gel contains very perishable ingredients, it is obligatory to add reliable preservative.
The gel is going to be light, fluid. We pour it into pre-disinfected bottle and keep it in fridge. When keeping, the gel is going to exfoliate, so before usage it should be shaken up.
The moisturizing gel with water-melon juice is greatly absorbed in skin, not leaving feeling of sticky skin and pellet. After using it, the skin becomes soft, tender, velvety, shining.
- Such gel can be prepared all round the year from a frozen water-melon juice.
- The gel is perfectly kept in a fridge and doesn’t lose its magnificent fragrance of fresh water-melon.
