New one is well-forgotten old one
“Marilena” bag – is a novelty of 2013. If several years ago Avon made shy attempts to sell haberdashery, than today bags of different types, colors and models look at us from the catalogs’ pages.
“Marilena” bag – is a thought-over, weighed and serious bag with a hint of Retro. The bag is of pleasant beige, almost flesh color. It closes with the help of a valve on a golden turning lock, which is fixed with a karabiner on a small chain. Frankly speaking, I don’t like such tuning much. As for me the chain only impedes. Thanks God it can be unfastened.
The bag is of classical variant. The aperture height of the handles allows to wear the bag not only in the hand or bend of elbow, but to suspend it on a shoulder.
The joints of the manufactured article are even and rather qualitative. From the trimming there are the golden garniture, figured seams, with which handles of the bag are sewed, the carved valve and the longitudinal strip in front of the bag. The design is quite reserved, but interesting.
On the sides the bag has got tucks, which are fixed upon the dress-fastener. It is done, apparently, for the bag not to lose its slender proportions. But if it is fulfilled with contents, I think the dress-fasteners of the onslaught won’t stand that.
Inside “Marilena” is also restrained. The lining is to the tone of the bag, on which two little pockets – one with a zipper, and another one without zipper for a cell phone, are placed opposite each other.
Personally I liked the bag. Especially good is the model. It looks very much like something that my granny used to wear. But it is not old-fashioned and not ultramodern. I would say it is –vintage-like. The bag is neither big nor small. It is rather spacious so that you could put in it not only makeup bag with a comb but something for work as well.
