How to make micellar water for removing make-up
Micellar water was recently invented in Europe, and was used first to lessen symptoms of atopic dermatitis, ichthyosis, and psoriasis. Professional cosmeticians have noted its special effect on the skin and paid their attention to that fact. A lot of cosmetic companies have included it on their skin cleaning products. - Lavender hydrosol - 3.07 oz (87 g.)
- Hydrogenated castor oil - 0.21 oz (6 g.)
- Sweet almond oil - 0.14 oz (4 g.)
- Honey extract - 0.07 oz (2 g.)
- Preservative Optihen plus - 0.03 oz (1 g.)
- Lavender essential oil - 5 drops
Weigh Lavender hydrosol and pre-heat in a water bath. Lavender hydrosol commonly has a beneficial effect on skin. It stops irritation, regenerates, and refreshes the skin, giving it a healthy look.
Put hydrogenated castor oil and sweet almond oil in a water bath. The castor oil should be heated until it is totally dissolved. Hydrogenated castor oil (PEG-40) softens the skin flawlessly, creates a shielding film on the surface of the skin which prevents excess evaporation of moisture. As the nonionic emulsifier-solvent, it has obvious cleaning characteristics. Sweet almond oil has a healthy effect on any kind of skin, leaving it flexible and with a smooth surface.
When the hydrogenated castor oil will become liquid, pour oils in the hydrosol.
Mix them thoroughly using a mini mixer or spoon.
Add honey extract, which helps moisturizing the skin and shows freshness.
Adding a preservative Optihen plus to the micellar water will consistently protect it from developing microflora.
Since this cosmetic product is not only for face cleansing, but also for removing eye cosmetics, adding a large number of essential oils is not being suggested. Add only a few drops of lavender essential oil, or do not add at all. Hydrosol lavender itself has a pretty strong perfume and a distinct benefits on kinds of skin.
Micellar water is used to remove makeup and the impurities of the skin. To remove eye cosmetics, apply it for a few seconds on a closed eye, use a cotton pad that was soaked in micellar water. To clean the face, wipe it using a moist cotton pad.
- After using micellar water, wash your face using warm clean water. But when you cannot wash your face when you are traveling or in a meeting, training, you can use it as an indelible cleaning cosmetic.
