How to prepare cheese soup quickly
A hostess who is worth her salt understands that delicious soup ought to be prepared well in advance. However, there are people who avoid making tasty soups simply because they are limited by time. The good news is that you can improvise the ingredients and cooking directions to ensure that your soup takes less time to prepare.
- Cheese – 7 oz. (200 g.)
- Sausages – 2 pieces
- Potato – 1 piece
- A mixture of vegetables
- Cream – 2 tbsp
- Green onions and spices to enhance the taste
To guarantee the best results, it is highly recommended that you utilize processed cheese. Still, you can use any other type of cheese depending on your taste.
Use a grater to grate the cheese into smaller pieces. However, if you are using processed cheese, you can put it into a frying pan immediately. When hot water is added, the cheese will blend well with it.
Add roughly 5 pints (2.5 litres) of water into a bowl and add the grated cheese to it. Bring the water to boil. Add some salt to taste.
Take the sausages and cut them into small cubes. But the key to ending up with a sharp and savouring taste is to use smoked sausages or even smoked meat.
Put the sausages you have cut into a frying pan.
Peel the potato. Wash it using running water and cut it into small cubes.
Add the sliced potato cubes into the broth.
Thereafter, take a bag containing the mixed frozen vegetables. Mixed vegetables can easily be found in most retail shops. Once the potatoes have softened, add the mixed vegetables to the broth.
The good thing about vegetables is that they do not require a long time to cook. While preparing this soup, it took me roughly 5 minutes to cook the vegetables.
A couple of minutes before you are through with the soup preparation, add 1 spoonful of cream and greens into broth.
If you are not in a hurry, allow the mixture to stay covered without heat for about 5 minutes.
Serve the soup in a bowl or plate and serve with bread. You can choose to use white or brown bread.
- Cheese soup ought to be eaten while still fresh. Do not prepare too much since the soup loses its taste if left in the refrigerator for a day.
