How to prepare chicken stomachs in creamy sauce
Chicken stomach is known for not containing fat. As such, it is best for people who are watching their weight.
- Chicken breast – 17.5 oz. (0.5 kg.)
- Cream – 1 cup
- Flour – 1 tbsp
Prior to preparation, you need to thoroughly wash the chicken stomachs. If they was frozen, slowly defrost them, to avoid bad taste of the future dish. After washing, we remove a yellowish films, otherwise dish will become bitter.
Place the cleaned chicken breast in a pan filled with cold water an place on a stove. Prior to making a dish from the chicken stomachs, you need to boil them.
Once the broth boils, remove foam, then season with salt and cook for 2 more hours.
Now fry chicken stomachs a bit to get more delicious dish or you may skip this step if you need more healthy dish.
Fry grated onions together with grated carrots in a different frying pan. By adding fried vegetables to the mixture, you will be giving your dish more colour.
Add the cream to the pan containing fried carrots and onions.
Allow the mixture to stew for a while.
To safeguard the sauce from becoming too watery, add some flour. Don’t forget to stir carefully to avoid lumps.
Pour the mixture of carrots, onions and cream into the pan containing chicken stomachs.
Add some water to the mixture. Make sure that the water is covering the chicken stomachs.
To enhance the taste of the dish, add some spices to the mixture. There is no limitation to the type of spice you can add. However, pepper and bay leaf are the best. Allow the preparation to stay on heat for about 5 minutes after that.
The dish can be served with pasta or any other garnish. The stomachs have turned out very tender, with a pleasant creamy flavor.
- There are different ways of preparing chicken stomachs. The selected method will depend entirely on what you are looking for. Then again, the sauce can be enhanced in several ways. If you would like to end up with a soft and gentle dish, add more cream.
