How to prepare delicious mussels in creamy sauce
It’s necessary to check out the food we eat during winter. At first, it has to be nourishing, useful and balanced. I stopped using shellfish and bought mussels instead, I knew at once that mussels will look and taste more delicious when you prepare them in a creamy sauce.
- Mussels – 7 oz. (200 g.)
- Onions – 1 piece
- Carrots – 1 piece
- Flour – 1 tsp with a slide
- Cream – 1,5-2 cups
- Salt to taste
Allow to thaw the frozen mussels. When completely thawed out, mussels must be thoroughly washed to remove all dirt and debris.
To prepare the onions, these must be cut, diced and fried in vegetable oil.
While onions are fried, cut carrots into small cubes. It isn’t necessary to fry onions too much, otherwise its scent could overrule the scent of mussels. Allow these to cook until they develop a translucent condition. Add the carrots. Properly mix the vegetables.
You need to add a small amount of salt.
As soon as carrots are ready, add a 1 tsp (with slide) of flour.
The flour needs to be mixed well with vegetables so it won’t form any lumps.
When vegetables are ready add the mussels into it. Everything must be carefully mixed.
As soon as mixed vegetables with mussels, carrots and onions, pour in cream. Do not place the cream all at once. At first pour a small amount so that the flour will disperse well on liquid. Then dilute the sauce with remaining cream.
Properly stir everything and bring the sauce to a boil. Mussels are cooked very quickly. This dish may be prepared within 15-20 minutes.
Italian paste is perfectly match for this sauce. Seafood is well combined with spaghetti. The gentle sweet taste of mussels is greatly combined with thin, slightly fish aroma and creamy taste of sauce.
- Today, we often speak about advantage and a great nutritional value of seafood. The sea gives us easily acquired proteins, fatty acids and a mass of vitamins. Bon appetit!
