How to prepare cottage cheese pie
This recipe is very easy to do, baking skills are not required as well as much time to cook this pie. In an hour you will be ready to glad your family with your flavorful baking. Cottage cheese pie is ideal for any kind of celebrating.
- 4 cups of wheat flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 pound (0.5 kg) of cottage cheese
- 2 apples
- 2 quinces
- Sugar to taste
- 1 pack of margarine
- Vanilla to taste
Place the flour in a mixing bowl, add margarine which was previously taken out of refrigerator to become a little softer.
It is necessary to mix these two ingredients completely, then use your hands to grind the dough to get a crumb structure as on this picture.
Put cottage cheese in a another bowl, add eggs, sugar, vanilla and mix everything well, you can use a blender.
Take fruits for the pie. I use apples and a quince usually.
Cut them into 4 parts, remove a core and grind them using coarse grater. Add a few sugar in case your fruits are pretty sour. You should peel fruits first before grating them.
Take a baking form. Place your dough (not the cottage cheese mix) on it, dough must be spread on the bottom, squeeze it with help of your palms to get a flatten surface. Use only a half of dough, you’ll need the rest of it in the last stage.
The next layer is a sweet cottage cheese, make sure that the cheese is smoothed out, use a spoon if necessary. Do not let the cheese touch the tray edges.
Spread grinded apples and a quinces for the third layer of our pie.
Use the last half of the crumbled dough to put on the top layer of pie. Place in preheated for 390 F (200 C) oven for 40-50 minutes.
After 40 minutes we’ll get a delicious pie. Enjoy your meal.
- If you don’t have an apples and quinces it is possible to use any other fruit: cherry, raspberry, banana and everything that is very tasty for you.
