This model camera is small, light and fits comfortably in the palm of your hand. For shooting movies, there is a special strap that you can use to work the camera safely. The Canon MV920 is powered by lithium battery, which lasts up to 40 minutes of continuous operation. It chargers very quickly, you can have a complete charge within two hours.

The camera’s menu is very simple, even for the first time you use it you can already learn to work with it. There are even function that allows you to process videos and photos but for me, this is too much, because this is best done on a computer. For shooting and viewing video, you can use its screen that rotates in any direction. This makes the camera very convenient to use.

But the that the camera saves on to is already obsolete today. It records video on small cassettes that should be subjected to digital processing in a separate program. This is not very convenient, as it requires additional time.

In addition, the zoom is located near the speaker, when you use it your video will be accompanied by a picture creaking sound, which is also heard when watching the movies that you have recorded.

For this single reason, I rarely use this camera.

I agree with you that offering too much of editing settings in a camcorder or in a camera is not a good idea. We already have photo-editing softwares for that.

Thanks for the in-depth analysis on this camera. I think that I would rather go for the ones that will help me save videos on memory card sticks or on DVDs though.

I had one camera that also gave me the same problem. The sound of the zoom button used to get recorded on the video. You can use a video editing software to get rid of it.
