A very simple-to-prepare pumpkin dish
Pumpkins in our family are treated with great respect. In the winter, when the diet lacks fresh vegetables, pumpkins are able to provide the body with essential vitamins, minerals, fiber, and just food variety. And it can be useful to use in food for people with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, cardiovascular problems, as well as for the elderly and pregnant women. I want to share a very simple recipe of this wonderful vegetable.
- Pumpkin pulp
- Lemon juice
- Olive oil
- 1 tsp of sugar
Peel the pumpkin and cut into the required number of slices of about 0.5 inches (1 cm) thick.
Pour the olive oil on a heated skillet
Lightly fry the pumpkin slices on both sides.
If you have a pumpkin with a hard flesh, cover skillet with a lid at the end of roasting.
Pour the pumpkin slices with lemon juice while they are still hot.
And lightly sprinkle with sugar.
- Of course, you can bake the slices in the oven or microwave. In this case, you can pour olive oil after baking. But fried is a lot tastier.
