You´ll need

  • Pearl barley – 1 cup
  • Milk with at least 3.2% fat content – 2 pints (1 liter)
  • Butter, salt and sugar to taste

    Place the pearl barley in a bowl and thoroughly wash before using.

    I love porridge. I have never tried on pearl barley porridge before so I am looking forwards to making this and having it. I also think that it is better to use fresh milk as I too have had bad experience.

    I think that it will taste better to add just a pinch of salt on the porridge. I have a habit of adding salt in every kind of food and also in preparing sweet foods and for some reason, it enhances the taste of food.
