How do you know that you have time to dentist

Only a few people enjoy a visit to the dentist. However, even when it is as frightening as it is, oral care must never be neglected and at the first sign of teeth problems you must see your dentist immediately. Take note of the following things when visiting your dentist.

You´ll need

  • The business phone number of your dentist and the dental clinic
  • Attention about condition of your teeth

Steps

  • The general rule is to visit your dentist at least once every six months. Therefore if your last visit was more than 6 months ago then pick up the phone and schedule an appointment today. But there are several exceptions to this rule. Women, before getting pregnant or in people who have more than 10 seals, those who don’t have a healthy diet and those who lack or have an excess fluoride in their diet should visit their dentists at least every three to four months.
  • If you have a seal, a broken crown, a broken piece of enamel or loose tooth, you need to see your dentist right away. You should never take a visit to the dentist for granted even when you do not feel any pain. The less time that passes, the less damage that your teeth develop. Further delay in your visit to the dentist can lead to tooth decay and even loss of tooth.
  • If you feel sharp pain when drinking hot tea, cold drinks, sweet or acidic foods then suspect that you have dental caries. Tooth that has caries may become sensitive since the tooth roots are uncovered due to cracks, chips and other defects on your teeth. Dental caries can also cause tooth aches when you use toothpastes containing bleach additives and bicarbonates. So for even a small occurrence of this symptom, you should not hesitate to consult your dentist at once.
  • A noticeable change in the color of teeth should be a cause for alarm. During an average human lifespan, teeth can change their color due to foods, beverages and using tobacco products which can severely tarnish teeth. But if you have seen an alarming sudden change in the color of your teeth then it can be a sign of a serious illness in the oral cavity.
  • Another popular reason to see the dentist is the growth of wisdom teeth. This tooth often grows after 18 to 20 years of age. According to statistics, almost 80% of people who grow wisdom teeth develop dental problems; these problems are better discussed with your dentist. Most problems associated with the growth of wisdom teeth are evaluated closely by a dentist before they can make a verdict. Even when the day and time of consultation there is no pain or problem the dentist may recommend removing your wisdom teeth. Your dentist will evaluate potential problems due to the growth of wisdom teeth and the weakness of your gums. Therefore you need to visit your dentist even when there is an absence of symptoms. And since wisdom teeth often form in the hood of the mucous membrane this can lead to the accumulation plaque and food debris; this is one of the most common reasons why this kind of tooth is removed by most dentist.
  • Bleeding gums can be a sign of a huge list of diseases, including diabetes. Be sure to consult this condition to a dentist who can also rule out gum disease.
  • This also goes the same for bad breath. This condition may be caused by dental caries, plaque, the presence of periodontal pockets, the accumulation of rotting food debris and so much more.
  • Children aged 2 years old should also visit the dentist to evaluate his teeth for any decay and to assess the formation of occlusion.

Warnings

  • There has never been a death from a toothache; dental problems do not belong to a category of deaths. Toothaches are not dangerous but may cause unpleasant sensations; these may also affect the gastrointestinal tract, the immune system as well as the nervous system.
  • If possible, schedule an appointment in the afternoon. At this time of day, the sensitivity of the nerves of the teeth are minimal and painkillers are more efficient and may last longer.

In addition to the reasons listed above, I’d advise you to see a cosmetic dentist if your braces brake or seem to be too tight. Once in a while, I always take my children to their dentist to check if the rubbers require replacement.

Every time I feel as if some is trying to avoid me or make excuses so as not to talk to me, I make an appointment with my dentist. This is in spite of the fact that I brush and floss after every meal.

  4. After reading a couple of scientific studies published online, I realized that halitosis (i.e. bad breath) is not only associated with poor oral hygiene, but internal organs. But, it is only a dentist who can get to the root of the problem.
